When In Doubt Travel

Why do I love travelling?

Not only it’s fun but it’s an eye opener on how other people are living and it enables me to get out of my comfort zone, to move away from what I know. Living in the UK, especially in London, where everything is so fast paced and the sun is rare, I tend to go to sunny places where I can get some vitamin D.

It gives me the same feeling you have when the new year approaches and you make new resolutions. That starting fresh feeling…Going away can do wonders!

Sometimes, you need to be on your own to clarify things in your head. Give yourself time to think and breath. You have no idea what talking with people from different cultures can do to you. We’re so busy chasing money, a career, a promotion or fame (for certain) without taking the time to sit back and relax.

I went to Cuba recently and I really enjoyed it. I’ve been to several places in the Caribbean but Cuba is different. It’s probably due to its political history but I’m glad to have spent my 30th birthday there. When people ask me “How was Cuba?”, diversity and history are the first words that come to my mind. It felt like going back in time. Horse ridding, colourful cars and traditional dances.

The cities I visited were so different. You had amazing beaches in Veradero, mind-blowing nature in Viñales, an amazing ambience in Trinidad. Cuba is a movie!

If you haven’t been I recommend.
