This fantastic event Curluscious Talks, had a room full of Naturalistas buzzing with excitement. I was greeted with a warm welcome from the event Organisers Mrs B and Mrs C. My pen and pad at the ready, these ladies took us through a well-orchestrated slide show which addressed key hair issues and provided tried and tested solutions.
More than willing to share their own personal experiences the floor opened up for general hair concerns and questions.
Who doesn’t like leaving events with goodie bags! Unexpected treats were handed out sent from Sweet Honey Child.
Also, all attendees left with a complementary Hair Care Regimen guide and a tub of Coconut Oil.
Niki aka Mrs C informed me of her reason for hosting this event which was to:
- Help women learn to understand and love their hair
- And to address the areas of miseducation
She did not disappoint, ladies from the night left feeling empowered and equipped for their journeys ahead. From my personal perspective, on a cold Winters night this event was worth venturing out of the house for 🙂
Do keep an eye on their Facebook page for hair tips and guidance. Filled with enthusiasm for natural hair I am sure they will be keen to assist where they can.
This was a great evening out; I was able to meet fellow bloggers Alexis and Antoinette from AA Naturals (fabulous ladies).
Jam packed with a lot of laughter and great company I’m looking forward to the next Curluscious event.
Comments from the night:
“Instructive, real life examples you could relate to. Open minded everyone shared experiences. Dispelled myths and showed just how easy it is to look after natural hair’
‘I enjoyed it, they addressed many myths and I’ve got lots to go home and try’ – Neomi
